combat xp Combat experience is supplemental progress for active combat. RP remains fastest and is still the preferred path for character growth. Combat XP does not replace RP rewards, RP logs, RP contests, or RP economy systems. Combat XP can come from two places when staff have enabled it: action experience during eligible fighting victory bonus experience when an eligible fight ends Action experience depends on qualifying combat actions. For an eligible PvE victory, the opponent's OFA (overall fighting ability) sets the fight XP budget; level difference is applied once to that budget. The victory bonus is part of that budget, not a fixed award or a promise of exact XP. Eligible natural PvE fights stand on their own. Qualifying action experience and victory bonuses are not reduced by repeat history: fighting the same opponent again, returning to the same area, or re-engaging after a flee does not diminish a later eligible PvE award. PvP anti-abuse safeguards still apply. Scripted loops, no-emote sparring, unattended actions, and predictable patterns in player versus player combat can be diminished or denied. RP during combat is still RP. If your roleplay is valid under the normal RP rules, it can still qualify for normal RP systems. Generated combat form text and coded result text do not count as player RP, and identical repeated text is not counted again. See also: help combat descriptions, help followthru practice. |
