Perform sets off a rocket of your own devising. It is an Illuminator guild skill, so only members of the Illuminators Guild can use it. The rocket flies up from where you stand and bursts into a display that players outdoors, awake and within its reach can see. Syntax: > perform <rooms> <description> Example: > perform 5 into a shower of silver stars The rooms figure is how far the display carries in each direction, from 2 to 20. Your description finishes the sentence "A rocket shoots into the sky, exploding...", so write it to follow on, and keep it to 300 characters or fewer. You cannot perform indoors or in a soundproof room. If your skill fails, the rocket only makes a tiny spark and fizzles out. You must wait a while before setting off another.
